World War Two was a conflict that involved the majority of the world during the years 1939 to 1945 (Hughes, 2014). The government controls in Australia during World War Two had a significant effect on soldiers and civilians in Australia as well as all around the world. The government first introduced wartime controls in WW1, but were continued to be used in World War Two. The government controls included manpower controls, rationing and censorship.
